ABOUT

A young girl in a pink dress singing on stage with a microphone.

Capturing, performing, being as long as I live.

All exiles, outlaws, the unheard, welcome.

As a passionate recording artist, music producer, A&R coordinator, and live sound technician with a multidisciplinary background in the music industry, I am eager to bring my skills, creativity, and energy to this world in every way that I can in a positive manner.

Through my experiences as a recording artist/writer under the name Delaney Brooklyn, band Twenty to Seven, my roles in live production, artist development, songwriting, blog editing and content creation, I have cultivated a deep understanding of both the creative and operational sides of music. My education and completion from Seneca College’s Independent Music Production & Business Program as well the Independent Songwriting & Performance Program, combined with hands-on work in areas like FOH engineering, social media marketing, live event photography, and songwriting, have given me a well-rounded, versatile skill set that I am eager to share with the industry throughout North America to morally encourage the continued support of women & people of colour in music.

In addition to my technical and creative abilities, I pride myself on my adaptability, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence — qualities that have allowed me to thrive in dynamic, collaborative settings. I am especially drawn to the live event community for fostering talent and innovation and I offer a friendly, open-minded demeanor and treat all artists/clientele as my own people with a fresh perspective from multiple minorities.

As a human being, I am deeply committed to building a long-term career in the music community and am excited by the chance to start that journey with you if you’re interested in cultivating for artists — by an aspiring artist, always on your side.

So… need photos? A new song? A crew member? A listening ear?

Whatever it is — I’m your guy, through and through.

Let’s chat now and strive to make the world (and industry as a whole) a better place and make art happen.

Delaney Brooklyn is a singer/songwriter from St. Marys, Ontario, Canada. With roots planted in the alternative  and rock genres, her music is influenced by a variety of artists that span decades. From Amy Winehouse to Hayley Williams to Queen to Halestorm, Delaney has been honing her skills in writing and vocal skills since she was very young due to her influences. With the help of countless live performances and competitions, guitar lessons, and professional vocal training, music has been a lifeline in its own throughout her life as she pursues a career.

Delaney released her first all-original, seven-track album back in June of 2018 at the age of sixteen titled ‘Colour Blind’. Prior to the album, Delaney released one single, titled ‘Lose It’. Her latest release was in October of 2019, a song about freeing yourself a toxic relationship with family, titled Yesterday as well as a 2021 single October Tenth.

Delaney’s evolution into a full-fledged musician started young, singing since she could first speak. Beginning to play piano quickly at the age of six, it inspired her to pick up a guitar, and with that she fell head over heels for music’s entirety and never looked back.

Her passion for songwriting started around the age of twelve, writing the title track and six other that are featured on ‘Colour Blind’, which stays close to her heart. Delaney decided to become a professional musician around her first year of high school, and from there began to build and develop a career. Her interest, cultivated at a young age and has further developed through the completion of the Independent Songwriting and Performance Program at Seneca College in Toronto. She has taught vocal and guitar lessons at Deep Waters Music in St. Marys, mentoring all ages and families alike as well as working in music retail and on tour as a photographer with various bands.

Delaney has performed, placed and won Canada-wide completions including Stratford Star (Winner), Rise2Fame (2nd place), and Hidden Talent Canada (4th place). Performing since the age of three, she has played all over Ontario, and has even auditioned for The Voice in Chicago in past years. Recently, she has completed both the Independent Songwriting & Performance, and the Independent Music Production/Business programs at Seneca College/York University in Toronto. She has honed her skills and continued to learn and grow within the industry, working as a freelance concert photographer, CEO, founder of Archived Concerts Co., artist developer and ghostwriter. On and off stage, a poet through and through.

Currently living and working between London and Toronto, Ontario, Delaney continues to write and grow as an emerging force and solo band in the industry, with a new single Yesterday (2019) – available everywhere now!
